Learn About the tarot

Tarot is a mirror. The cards can show you what's present and what's coming — the qualities you're embodying, the shadows you're avoiding, the obstacles you haven't named yet, the direction you're currently moving in. But nothing is fixed. Free will is always in the room.

Every card carries a core meaning — layered, historically grounded, and consistent across traditions. But meaning doesn't stop there. A skilled reader brings intuition to bear on those foundations, reading the card against the question, the spread, and the person sitting across from them. The two aren't in conflict. Intuition without grounding is guesswork. Structure without intuition is a dictionary.

Tarot is as much a psychological tool as it is a divinatory one. What the cards show you is information — about where you are, where you're headed, and what's in the way. What you do with that information is yours.

Understanding Tarot

What is Tarot?

Tarot is a deck of 78 cards, each with its own imagery, symbolism, and story. Traditionally, tarot cards are divided into two main sections: the Major Arcana and the Minor Arcana.

  • Major Arcana: These 22 cards represent significant life events and spiritual lessons. They often reflect deep psychological themes and major life changes.

  • Minor Arcana: Comprising 56 cards, these cards focus on day-to-day events and challenges. They are divided into four suits: Cups, Pentacles, Swords, and Wands, each representing different aspects of life.

How Tarot Works

During a tarot consultation, a reader interprets the cards drawn by the querent (the person seeking guidance). The cards can reveal insights into past experiences, present situations, and potential future outcomes. The interpretation is often influenced by the reader's intuition and the specific questions posed by the querent.
